Invitation for Expression of Interest for the selection of an Advisor / Consultant for SICS activities under KUWASIP


The Government of Karnataka through KUIDFC is implementing Karnataka Urban Water Sector Improvement Project (KUWASIP) with World Bank Assistance in Hubli-Dharwad, Belgaum and Gulbarga.

It is a Pilot Project in the Water Sector for the provision of continuous water in selected demonstration zones, which will be scaled up in the subsequent phases of the Project. Being an innovative project in the Water Sector, a Social Intermediation and Communication Strategy (SICS) is being devised and undertaken for dissemination of information of the Project and to educate / involve the stakeholders.

The services of an Advisor / Consultant (individuals only), for a period of approximately 42 months to spearhead the SICS activities in these regions is solicited. He / She will be responsible for planning and implementing the SICS activities. He / She will be responsible for conceiving and establishing the SICS machinery, drawing up action plans, organising workshops, providing print material for circulation, facilitating information flow to stakeholders and liaising with the media.

The Advisor / Consultant should possess
· Post graduate/doctoral degrees in Mass Communications /Journalism or related fields
· Should be proficient in the local language
· Should have sufficient experience in working/ implementing communication programmes in urban infrastructure

EOIs should be submitted within 15 days of this advertisement before 5:00 p.m, detailing qualifications, experience, contributions to communication campaigns etc. EOIs should be addressed to the General Manager (Admn), KUIDFC, Bangalore.

Shortlisted individuals will be subsequently requested to submit proposals.
